There are a number of hosting companies to pick from, and any of the ones listed below are a great choice. So, pick out your hosting provider, which will then take you through the install and integration with WordPress – a really easy process.

Generate interest for you OnlyFans account!

How Long Can a Camming Career Last?

Every beginner camgirl wants to believe that she will have a long and lucrative career in the webcamming industry, however, there are a few reasons this dream may be not the most realistic one.

How Long Can One’s Camming Career Last on Average?

It’s hard to say, as there’s simply not enough data (and who’s keeping track of this data, anyway?) to know how long models stay in this industry. We know that most camgirls quit within their first 3 months, so, if you’ve made it past that, give yourself a pat on the back, you’re probably doing better than many. Considering that cam sites only started getting popular and becoming a lucrative way to make money online a little over a decade ago, not enough time has passed to make any clear predictions. Based on my personal experience and what I have seen and heard about, a lot of girls who don’t quit during that early phase, do move on after ~3-5 years.

Here Is Why I Think the 3-5 Year Camming Career Window is Most Probable:

Assuming you are a camgirl making average earnings and not the top girl making ranks every months and making 6 figures a year from camming, your first year or so will be filled with learning, trial and error, and hopefully enough motivation via tips and positive member interactions to keep you going. As soon as you master the “art of camming” and start to feel very comfortable online, you will likely see an increase in earnings in the following few years. This is the point where you should try to stay at and “milk” it for as long as you can.

Two problems arise, however: You either become burnt out, which is a very common problem for camgirls who don’t take enough time off and overextend themselves with offline tasks like Skyping, mailing packages, communicating on Snapchat/text. The second problem might be that your cam shows become stagnant and boring, either because you are not being as adventurous and interesting in your shows, or because you start to question your work and the sex industry as a whole, and it’ll show in your less-than-stellar cam performances. To compound these problems, there will also be young camgirls joining the site every day threatening to take away your members. It’s at this decisive moment that girls either step up their game and enjoy a few more years of camming or try to figure out their exit strategy.

Speaking of exit strategies, they are extremely important! You need to look at camming in the larger context of your life and see if you want to make it your “life-long” career goal, as many girls do intend to, or whether you want to move on to something else, be it going back to school, pursuing a new career or maybe even starting your own business.

The camming industry is so volatile and in some years it’s hard not to give up, but as long as you have a plan, you can at least be sure that you have a path to follow.

⋆ Camming Tips: Dos and Don’ts & Mistakes to Avoid

Camming is not as easy of a job as some people think (in fact, some people don’t consider camming a job at all!) and we all make mistakes as beginner camgirls. Here are some tips to keep in mind when you’re starting off as a cam model.

DO

Sign up with a camsite that you feel most comfortable on. Try out a few get a feel for them and don’t feel like you have to continue if you’re not feeling it. Here’s a good list of cam sites to check out.

Wear clothes that you feel comfortable in when camming. Don’t try to be a sexpot/pornstar when you are much more low-key and less sexual in real life. Members appreciate the authentic you! If you feel best in a t-shirt and shorts, rock them and it’ll show!

Smile! It’s such a simple thing, but makes a huge difference on how you’re seen. I guarantee that a smile will bring in many more tippers and money rather than sitting in front of a camera with an indifferent expression.

Make a plan for what you want to do during your shift. This is especially important if you’re just a beginner. One mistake many girls make is being unprepared on cam. If you go into it not knowing what your countdowns are going to be or what things you will offer (photosets, videos, high tip prizes), you will feel disorganized, lost and your shift will not be as effective. Always be prepared!

Add some props to make things interesting on cam. Sitting in front of a white wall will get boring. Have a whiteboard where you put your highest tipper amount and name, have a spinwheel that you can write custom prizes on, or just put some tapestries on your wall to make things more visually exciting.

Move around as much as you can (and want). Even if you cam sitting down, you can always move in your seat and lean in different ways that is more interesting to look at than someone slouching over a laptop. If you cam mostly standing up, it’s a great idea to dance or touch yourself in a sensual way from time to time. Try to keep guys’ attention on YOU!

Bring a water bottle with you to sip on during a shift. It’s surprising how dehydrated you can get with the bright lights shining on you and from talking for hours, so don’t forget to drink enough H2O.

DON’T

Use a built-in webcam. Use an external one instead. This is my #1 tip for a better, more successful experience on cam! The video quality will be *greatly* improved, which will translate into more viewers and tippers.

Overpromise and underdeliver. This happens a lot when you come up with a ton of games, raffles and contests to entice your members to tip, but get overwhelmed with the amount of work you have to do to deliver on those things. Be it custom photosets or videos, mailed packages or Skypes, all those things take time, so don’t offer things that you may not be able to fulfill in a timely manner.

Be afraid to say no. The beauty of camming is that you are in control of what happens to you on cam, so if someone is being annoying/threatening/makes you cross your boundaries, say no to whatever they’re trying to get you to do and block them.

Speak badly about other girls on cam. No one likes cattiness (although starting drama between girls can sometimes translate into more tips if your members get sucked into it), and it’s almost inevitable that the other girl will find out. This creates negative feelings that don’t belong on cam. Stay positive!

Overdo it with drinking on cam. Yes, it’s a great way to feel more relaxed and sexual, but being blackout drunk on cam is bad news. I feel like we’ve all made this mistake. Guys tip for shots and get you way too drunk, yet you keep going because you see those tokens adding up in your account. If you decide to drink, set a limit for yourself and try to stay within it.

Having a quality laptop is one of the best tools a camgirl can have. It’s better to invest from the start (or to upgrade a slow and lagging laptop) than having to deal with a constantly breaking or inefficient one. Remember, time is money, and if you have to take your laptop in for repairs, that is wasted time that you’ll never get back.

What should you look for in a laptop you’ll use for camming?

RAM: 8 GB and above. Stands for random-access memory and it’s what will keep your laptop running smoothly when you have lots of tabs open, music streaming, and cam broadcasting at the same time.
Hard Drive: 1TB or more. That’s where all your files are stored. A large enough hard drive lets you save thousands of HD photos, videos you make, songs and movies on your laptop. For reference, a 500GB hard drive (half of 1 TB) lets you hold up to 140,000 pictures, 130,000 songs, or 400 movies. So, if you’re planning on storing a lot of cam-related pics and videos (and they tend to be quite big in size!), go for a 1TB hard drive.
Size and Weight. This is up to you, but a laptop with a display size of 13″ to 15″ is more portable and easier to move around the house when you cam from different location and also take with you when you travel. Weight is a similar issue, anything under 5 lbs will be more portable.
Processor: Intel Core i7 is the way to go. If you ever feel like your current laptop is “too slow”, then you need to upgrade to Intel Core i7 processor.

You may have noticed that I haven’t mentioned built-in webcams, and that is because you cannot rely on your laptop’s webcam for camming. The quality will NEVER be as good as an external webcam, such as a Logitech C920, which is, in my opinion, the best webcam for cam models.
